xMusicBlog Reviews & Rates DemeonBrian: The Singles Collection EP A 3/5

xMusicBlog Had The Pleasure Of Listening To DemeonBrian's Upcoming EP Earlier Then The Rest Of Us & They Had A Couple Nice Things To Say About It. Read What They Had To say About Each Track Below.

1. Body
This track shows a more mature side of Demeon. Demeon taps into his inner "Sexuality" over the Casskidd Produced Beat. The song samples Ciara's hit single "Body Party" & Musiq Soulchild's "SoBeautiful" The track open with Demeon spilling vulgar lines like "I Wanna Lick Your Body & Take You On A Sex Safari" what i liked most about this track is that its a very sexy r&b song that kinda took me back to the 90's and it wasn't overtly sexual like some songs we have out today. Demeon's vocals i would give a 70% because i felt they couldve been a little bit better in some spots but the song still fits his sort of soft spoken voice. I also didn't like some of the effects on his voice but other than that i would actually like to see a video for the track. Defiantly a good way to open up the EP.

2. DSKG (Don't Stop, Keep Goin) Featuring Kayenair
This track meets the requirements of a popular "Radio Song" it was produced by UK Producers BeatGeeks. The rapper who i've never heard of Kayenair mostly raps on the song using an autotune effect but its Demeon that actually brings the track to life. Im not a huge fan of Auto-Tune in which both artist use on this track but i actually could deal with it on this one. I actually don't think the song would've sounded right without the effect. The song is about being with a girl who's already in a relationship but she constantly complains about her significant other's performance in the bedroom so she calls in other participants for help while her mans away. Defiantly like the concept Demeon did an amazing job with the hook of the song and he also gives a killer bridge toward the end of the song that features lines that "She Says D Don't You Quit, D Don't You Leave Cause I Can't Take It Im Weak In My Knees" Probably my favorite part out of the whole song. This song needs to be sent to radio ASAP. It has a cross-over appeal that could play on urban radio & mainstream as well.

3. Thinkin Bout It
Thinkin Bout It is a Love/Hate song. I love it but i also hate it. I really hate that Demeon chose to use Auto-Tune the whole entire time throughout the song but you can't help slow dance to this song. Its defiantly video material. I defiantly would choose Tia London's version of this song over this version but Demeon does a good job with re-writing some of the verses so i could put up with it.

4. Stranger Featuring Jhene Aiko & Kayenair
This is most least favorite track on the whole EP due to the actual mastering of the track. Also this song has been remade millions of time. This is the 1st song we actually heard from DemeonBrian back in 2012. I do like the song lyrically and i think Demeon & Jhene's voice blend well but i also think they would've blended way better if the mastering was done correctly. You can tell the vocals on the record provided by Demeon were at a earlier time in his career because they sound sort of lighter then the rest of the songs.

5. Sittin N My Room
You can tell this is the most personal record on the entire EP due to the emotion in Demeon's voice. I love when artist are transparent and tell stories of something they've been through. Demeon described this record as a sort of therapy of letting go of feelings and hopes for someone he loved that didn't share those same feelings. The track opens with Demeon leaving a voicemail with hopes of talking to them soon and reminding the person they haven't spoken or seen each other since graduating high school. Defiantly my favorite record on the EP. But i think the emotions took away some of the actual vocal rang in some parts of the song and i wished Demeon didn't include adlibs on the last hook but other than that i think with the right video and push this song could go places alot of people will be able to relate to this track.
